LAKEWOOD—Jefferson County Stadium in Lakewood will be buzzing with excitement this weekend as it will host the 2012 Colorado High School Activities Association State Track and Field Meet. Over 70 athletes from the San Luis Valley have made the trek up to the Denver Metro area for the meet that is set to kick off today (Thursday)at 8:30 with Class 5A action.

ALAMOSA—Typical spring Valley wind made the 2012 Alamosa High School High Altitude Track and Field Championships even more of a challenge on Saturday at Rex Stadium on the campus of Adams State College as 25 track teams from Colorado and New Mexico participated in the largest track and field meet in the San Luis Valley.
