IPL 500 Festival Parade organizers are doing more to keep spectators and participants cool on Saturday when record heat is expected. There will be misting stations, water stations, and other resources on site. IPL 500 Festival Parade organizers say they are ready for the forecasted heat.
Sullivan South band heading to Washington, D.C.

KINGSPORT — Sullivan South High School’s band is preparing to march in the nation’s capital on Memorial Day. Almost 100 band members — including 18 eighth-graders who will have just completed middle school — will march May 28 in the National Memorial Day Parade in Washington, D.C.
