Quanah principal under sanction

QUANAH —Rusty Brawley, former Quanah High School principal, is under a sanction from the Texas Board of Education — including a one-year suspension from his administrative position. Buddy Freeman, school superintendent, issued a news release this week supporting Brawley, whom he assigned to a teaching position after Brawley stepped down as principal.

New developments in the case of a Quanah High School Principal accused of paddling a student too hard. Newschannel 6 has learned Principal Rusty Brawley's certificate has been suspended. The Texas Education Agency suspended his certificate effective April 23, 2012.
