Multiple crews battle hay wagon fire

Fire crews were busy in eastern Berks County on Thursday. Crews from four different townships were called when a hay wagon caught fire in
oley Township. They had to scatter the hay to knock out the flames. Officials said they believe the fire was caused by a spark from the tractor that was pulling the wagon. No one was hurt.

oley Valley's reign as District 3 double-A champs Monday night with an 8-1 win in the quarterfinals. The Lynx took a 1-0 lead in the top of the fourth inning, only to see the Saints explode for four runs in the bottom of the fourth. No. 4 Berks Catholic will host No. 9 Kutztown in the semifinal round on Wednesday.
