Higher education has found a home in The Fort neighborhood of Gloucester. Endicott College of Beverly will be moving into its new satellite campus at 33 Commercial St. in June and begin offering programs there in mid-September.

The Bell family has a long history in the building; it was where Mac’s great-grandfather started making oilskins for fishermen in 1906, leading to the Mighty Mac outerwear brand. Mac’s son and daughter are the fifth generation of the family to work in the building.
