State track 2012: A senior year to remember for Ellis' Hunsicker

In 2010-11, Ellis High School's Riley Hunsicker delivered a solid junior year for the Railroader football team. He accounted for 474 yards of total offense at various positions and made a key interception in a Week 9 win against Oakley that sealed a playoff berth.

At meets, junior javelin throwers Shannon Toll and Megan Honas are usually inseparable during warmups, competition and after their events are finished. Toll said the pair are like sisters, while Honas called herself and Toll best friends.

The city of Madison's fight against a string of rundown motels dotting the Beltline continued Friday as crews demolished the former Highlander Motel, but the effort has stalled at other properties. Officials targeted the Highlander site, once a haven for drug addicts and crime, for an interchange expansion at the Beltline and Verona Road. The project is scheduled to begin in summer 2014. St. Rose lab once again earns 'gold standard' accreditation

Edward Jones, M.D., St. Rose Ambulatory & Surgery Center pathologist, and Carla herl, administrative lab director, review a complete blood count report from the new LH750 analyzer. The College of American Pathologists recently renewed the lab’s accreditation.
