Kenya: Major Funding Boost for Resource Management Project

[IFAD] Rome - The International Fund for Agricultural Development (IFAD) will provide a loan of US$33 million to the Republic of Kenya to finance the Upper Tana Catchment Natural Resource Management Project. An additional loan amount of EUR 12.8 million from the Spanish Food Security Cofinancing Facility Trust Fund will also be provided to fund the same project.

Tribute Run raises money for scholarships

BETHEL -- The inaugural 5K Tribute Run on Saturday attracted more than 150 runners and 300 spectators while raising nearly $10,000 for scholarships to be awarded to children or grandchildren of local veterans.

Cops: Man threatened girlfriend with loaded gun

BETHEL -- A Bethel man was taken into custody Saturday night after police said he pulled a gun on his girlfriend during an argument. Vincent
gaita , 45, of Dodgingtown Road, was charged with second-degree threatening and reckless endangerment after the incident, which occurred about 10:30 p.m., according to Bethel police.
